Is Jason Aldean a racist?

His small town song contains controversial content.

I've listened to the song several times and read the lyrics...there's not one word that would suggest any racism. Because some feel it points to events that was allowed to happen in their cities, they're now "offended"
@Timeforsun Duh, it's called dog whistling.

@BohemianBabe Figures you would be an expert in that particular endeavor
@sunsporter1649 Yes, I'm familiar with right-wing politics.

@BohemianBabe How so?
@Timeforsun The lyrics were alluding to BLM and going along with the narrative that right-wing media invented about the riots.

@BohemianBabe I think the lyrics allude to how small towns will not just stand by and watch their towns burned down or looted.
@Timeforsun Sure, but he's implying that's what was happening during the BLM protests.
But that's the point of a dog whistle. The person doing it can always claim that's not what they meant, so we can't know for sure.

@BohemianBabe If BLM protesters are taking responsibility, then that's on them, not Jason Aldean.

@BohemianBabe "They’re not gonna stop [...] this is a movement I'm telling you, they’re not gonna stop. And everyone beware, because they’re not gonna stop, they’re not gonna stop before election day in November, and they’re not gonna stop after election day [...] and everyone should take note of that on both levels, that they’re not gonna let up, and they should not, and we should not."

I wonder which Republican said that, can you help us find out just who it was?
@Timeforsun I'm saying that Aldean is basically repeating the lie that the BLM protests were nothing but riots. The vast majority of the protests were peaceful, plus every civil rights movement always has a violent fringe, but right-wing media invented a false narrative where everyone was just rioting. That's what Aldean is implying in his song.

@BohemianBabe " “If you’re able to, chip in now to the Minnesota Freedom Fund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.”

Can you help us find out which Republican supported the bailing out of the rioters?
@sunsporter1649 Doesn't matter, we're not talking about individual people, we're talking about the BLM protests as a whole, which were almost always peaceful.
The reason literal Nazis, like yourself, obsess over individual cases is because you know I'm correct here.
Timeforsun · 51-55, F
@BohemianBabe Ok, whatever. Maybe peacefully not listen to his song anymore. Perhaps go listen to a less racist rap song, where they mention, hitting ho's and killing' cops.

@sunsporter1649 Thank you for proving my point.

@Timeforsun And yet that did happen to many of them, once upon a time:

@SW-User So if it wasn't right then, it doesn't make it right now.

I agree:

@Timeforsun You can listen as often you want, but with a closed mind and closed perspective ("offended” ?) it’s useless. You’re effectively deaf. 🤨
