How come my friends gets bullied for liking punk rock but when I listened to it, nobody makes a big deal out of it?

I have a new friend and she is a huge fan of punk rock music. She loves hard rock but she told me in school she got bullied and taunted so bad for liking that kind of music because……well…..I’m just going to say it, she’s black. Now what the hell is wrong with a block person or any other non-white person loving rock music? That’s totally wrong and unfair! That’s makes me so angry. When I was listening to it, even though I’m not a fan of punk rock, I didn’t get crap for it. People didn’t make a big deal out of it. She told me she gets made fun of for liking “white people music” and “white boys”.
She got told she needs to act black and listen to “black music”. It’s like when my cousin listened to rap and hip hop, he got discriminated for acting “black”. Stupid!
