The problem with Racism nowadays

Is that it is everywhere and it is a problem but when is a problem not a problem but someone just nitpicking to generate drama for no reason whatsoever?

My example is ...In the live-action movie of the little mermaid the character Ariel is black. Why is this a big deal for some? I don't see any problem.
