I'm surprised. Most conservatives don't believe it or acknowledge these facts.
Alot of conservatives try to bury talking about it and try to excuse the policies and excuse the racist attitudes. Some Democrats do too.
Racial disparities in my city are known to be quite severe, deeply rooted, and they persist.
But this is also so across the country.
It has greatly troubled me since I was 12. When I first started to really see how differently people were treated purely on race. And how much It effects everything. My friends are treated and suffer unfairly because of their skin color and I hate it so much. It's not right.
And it will continue unless everyone cares.and does something about it. We have to change things for the better.

@Scribbles I get why conservative Christians are opposed to LGBTQ rights. Not that I agree, but at least I get it. But race? I really don't understand. This should be an open-and-shut case. It's like, just read your damn Bible, guys.
I am aware of the racial disparities around your city, and it is not okay. I'm not sure what to do to start moving the needle towards justice. At the very least, it starts with what he said in the video. Care.

@ShadowSister Conservatives are traditionalists, and unfortunately racism is a long-standing tradition here. There’s even Scripture that can support it, just as there was Scripture supporting slavery. Those slave owners certainly considered themselves Christians.

@bijouxbroussard There are absolutely scriptures that support the institution of slavery. Those passages are gross and disgusting. However, there is no support for any form of racial discrimination in the New Testament, and several passages which are highly critical of racism. For anyone who is honestly seeking to follow what the Bible says, racial justice should be a no-brainer.
