If Clinton gets in,them I reckon Oprah should give it a go

The same reason that no Hispanics, or Jewish people are running. They didn't survive the preliminaries.
My question back to you is, why did the "Party of Diversity" pretty much only have 2 Old White people running? And they were a Communist and a Traitorous Criminal who just clinched the nomination in the final 2 primaries.

@Mortaritaville07 As was pointed out, the "Party of Diversity" did choose the first Blasian woman VP. But the only "Traitorous Criminal" was the GOP candidate who thankfully lost in 2020.
thank you Corvo.
i would love it if Oprah ran. but i think she is too smart...what does she need with all that hoopla? As for other nationalities that are treated badly in the US...Where are they? Why don't they run? i didn't mention them because that barrier has not been crushed yet...or has it and we just didn't know...?

dancingqueen is a troll, just ignore it.

This must've been before Ben Carson put his hat in the ring...
Dancing queen, there was nothing prejudice about my question....SHHEESH!The group already existed so i used it as a header. There was only one black person on record that ran before Obama and that was in the 1800's. Then comes Obama. Very sexy and smart and it broke barriers. i was really annoyed that no black people ran this time. and i am part black you ignoramous!

Back then there was Ben Carson, wasn’t there ? Cory Booker ? Remember them ? To run doesn’t guarantee becoming the candidate. Obama was treated pretty crappily. I’m not sure who’d want the job after seeing that.

@SW-User Yes. I hoped it wouldn’t be so, but that’s exactly what happened. And while Obama was president the GOP and outside agitators like Trump were determined to obstruct any things he attempted to do, even things that would’ve benefited our country.

@bijouxbroussard I don't want to talk too much about American politics, but I remember Obama offering essentially Amnesty to all illegal immigrants, allowing them to register and become an American, instead of being prosecuted which costs America money. That was so long ago, of course, Trump reversed, and I haven't heard Biden be as brave as that. I honestly feel the Democrats chose a safe, moderate choice for now.
I just remember some saying the race war has been won when Obama was elected, and I had a bad feeling it was just taking another form.

You weren’t wrong. I know this was an old post, but the racism in this country has never gone away, and it wasn’t enough to elect a black person as president, since he was never treated with the same respect by the government that previous presidents had been. The GOP even stated their goal to make him a "one-term president" without even attempting to work with him.
In regard to immigration, Obama followed existing law and did not stop people here illegally from being deported when it was part of the legal process. Even the conservatives admitted this, but never praised him for it, even though it was supposedly what they wanted.
As for the amnesty, it was Ronald Reagan (conservative hero) who had initially provided an amnesty law in 1986 protecting those in the country before 1986 with the proviso that penalized employers hiring illegal immigrants.
The flaw was that those restrictions on employers were stripped out of the bill when it was passed, so they continued to hire the undocumented with impunity, which was the incentive for more to come.
