As a general rule, I've always been told that if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all.

That being said, I'm usually not one for intentionally or wittingly starting a confrontation or conflict, let alone successfully bringing a conflict or confrontation to an end.

I will admit, however, that I am quite adept at holding my own in a conflict or confrontation when provoked.
