If all electricity shut down in the western countries...?

How much money would you have realistically?

I'd be dead broke

I keep an amount of cash at home but most is in various banks.

You try living in a place that regularly gets over 100°F. AC is not an option.

@Crazywaterspring Gosh, I hope your area doesn’t get many power outages with that temperature!

@SW-User Texas is the world capital of energy. The power tends to go out when it is hottest or a record cold snap hits. Our power and gas bills are some of the highest in the US.

The world got along for millennia without electricity so we would survive 🙂

@Dlrannie

Would we ?
I think the skilled workers would survive and the rest would struggle.
Not much would change for us. I live in the country and most of our lives aren’t dependent on electricity. It would suck but we’d survive. That does remind me that I should probably check on my backup generator, though.

You mean cash?

@SW-User cash, gold, anything material to keep your life going
