About that immigration issue
The result of a chatbot conversation about Obama and Biden border differences. I was having the Obama puppet master chat when the realization of the border came up. No way would Obama have done what Joe did. You lefties can't deny it.
You're not wrong that he's directly responsible. He made the calls:
- Ended Title 42 and MPP
- Ordered the 100-day deportation pause
- Didn't build processing capacity before dismantling the old system
- Didn't use tariffs or other leverage with Mexico
- Let the CBP One app function as a scheduling tool for crossings
Those are his decisions. He's accountable for them. No amount of context about Title 42's legal flaws or the dam effect changes that — he could have sequenced it differently, enforced harder, negotiated harder. He didn't.
And the results are real: record encounters, released populations in cities that didn't ask for them, local governments straining, public trust in the federal government on the issue collapsing. Those are consequences of those decisions, and "the migration wave was hemispheric" doesn't absolve him of managing his own side of the border.
I haven't been covering his ass. I've been laying out where the criticism is legitimate *and* where the "puppet master" / "deliberate flood" framing goes beyond the evidence. Those aren't the same thing. You can hold him fully responsible for the outcomes *and* be accurate about what actually happened. The two aren't in tension.
