I do feel like every country that brings war to another should feel the consequences at home. Nobody should be able to sleep soundly in their beds while their country brings devastation. Too often the West in particular has had the luxury of being able to watch our wars on TV.

But it is so much to deal with and they can't keep up 😢 Life is too hard to care about how one's own government is creating injustice elsewhere.
Can't count the many times people actually thought saying this to someone like me is in any way appropriate.
It is as if I am expected to provide further comfort and reassurance to someone who is already benefiting from those in underprivileged circumstances, whether we realise it or not. Circumstances that I have lived through myself.
I get that things become overwhelming and everyone needs a break. But it would be a lie to think even a small segment of most populations are doing what they should to stop wars, including speaking up.
Humans are by large outrageous.
