Explain to me

How this is legal?

https://trumpcard.gov/

The Dept of Commerce has nothing to do with the issuing of green cards.

Also, if the government were to do this, it is essentially accepting a bride for access, or "Pay to Play".

This completely circumvents all immigration laws.

So how is this legal?

From what the Trump Card is looking to be it is actually one of the least unusual things he has done. It is basically just a so called "golden visa" program with his face all over it.

Several European countries have such programs and even Canada does.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Are you comfortable with him selling America to the highest bidders, knowing that these people will contribute nearly nothing to the economy, resources, labor, or community?

I'm not. We need fewer rich people here to exploit us.
@FoxyQueen Honestly it is more likely to just be another con. At most all this does is get a path to citizenship, it doesn't guarantee anything.

They are totally within the framework of this to say "thanks for your 5 million now get bent." So they aren't really getting much for their money to be honest especially with a bad actor running the thing.

He also had a dinner where he claimed he would give access to the POTUS for his highest tier Crypto clowns and that was a scam.

That being said offering a path to citizenship for people who drop serious money into the country is a very common practice. We can have a discussion on whether it is a good idea but it is a common practice in the capitalist first world and a few tax haven countries too.

Alot of this is the direct result of tax breaks and low top tier taxes on the wealthy. They need to get that money through other mechanism.

I am not a fan of this practice. Just pointing out that this is business as usual in several countries.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow No worries. I get what you are saying. I agree. There is nothing that he has done that hasn't been some money grabbing scam. I don't know how people still fall for it.

Since I don't stan for capitalism, I think we also are in agreement on it being the major influence here.
