So last week, France decided to start deporting Algerian residents &/or citizens based on accusations

Rather than actual trials. Accusations or reports of inciting violence or hate speech. No convictions. No trials. Many of them have popular social media platforms.

These are not illegal immigrants. They are legal.

This is a precedent.

Algeria sent back the very first person they tried to deport on the same plane ,lol.

There is whole context as to why France is trying to do this. But overall it isn't exactly standard protocol between the two countries. And it got to do with the fact that the current Algerian government distanced itself from France, and Algeria has an Algerian French activist detained waiting for his own trail and France wants him back. With the amount of pressure they are exercising, i am guessing he has some sort of valuable information.

France, 10 to 20 years ago used to give asylum to Islamists and other militant criminals, who would have had a military trial in Algeria, irrespective of their criminal records.

Your mind is so dark but observant.

Great. Fascism and racism are becoming popular all over the world.
@Miram
Facism and racism has always been around in this context. Not really a new phenomenon.

Yeah, but they weren't mainstream politics. Something like this wouldn't have happened as recently as ten years ago.
I really think Neo-Liberalism is just dying out. Some people are moving to Fascism, others are moving to Socialism, and if forced to choose between the two, the billionaires will always choose Fascism.

Unfortunately "peuple" french party isn't a leftist in the sense of American leftist party. Even though they support a socialist approach, they stand on oligarchy and their candidates have always been fascists. The way they treat immigrants is absolutely not new. If you have the impression that it is, it is probably because of social media.
@Miram Yeah, it's like that with Germany's BSW party too. They're basically just Tankies.
