I want migrants to come to the USA

Immigration can be great if done properly. People need to be welcome with open arms but at the same time vetted. We need to know why they are coming, that they are not carrying communicable disease, are not involved in human trafficking, are not criminals, and want to be a contributing part of the country.

The rate of immigration should be regulated by OUR ABILITY TO VETT THEM, not this wide open invasion crap.

My people weren't vetted when they came through Ellis Island in the 1880's. They somehow convinced somebody that they weren't insane, sickly, and unwilling or unable to work. And they became Americans. No citizenship tests or forms. The Germans on my father side couldn't even speak English.

IMHO we not only need to secure the borders, not only should we vett immigrants, but we need to be more selective. We can't bring in people who are fundamentally hostile to the United States for geopolitical reasons. We can't bring in people who are fundamentally unwilling or unable to integrate at any level.

We are so unable and unwilling to do this because of prejudice and bigotry. I think we are allowed that bigotry. Anyone is. To not import hostile culture, criminal enterprises, and so on.

The “prejudice” and “bigotry” is what people are called for suggesting immigration bans against groups of people who hostile to America. If that is prejudice and bigotry, I have it. We should have it.
