I Think Immigration Laws Disregard Families

Truth is, they’re here to work.
Im not a fan of that particular argument because at this point every inch of this planet has been conquered from someone - but native Americans were not thieves because there was nobody here to steal it from.

@QuixoticSoul we have enough people already here that want to work - we also have more than enough that have their hand out. Having said that - we need to "meter" the amount or flow of people entering - what would happen if the entire pop of India wants in ? Extreme example of course but my point is we can only serve just so many.

Stats are, we are at full employment nationally. SF Bay Area is around 2.6% unemployment, that describes a critical shortage.

@QuixoticSoul Not currently - in general =- WE dont need anymore people we are at critical mass. As for employment goes put the bums to work and we dont need anyone that just wants to work.

@QuixoticSoul Maybe I am not being clear - my point is that when my people came here through Ellis immigration laws were very strict - I had a relative that got deported 2x for having polio - they were afraid that the person would be a liability , a burden on the nation so to speak. And very few government gimmies were out there. So I wonder why we are offering so much - actually they dont have their hands out - maybe I misspoke - the government just gives.

@QuixoticSoul BUMs dont want to work cause - why should they - they live on the streets - sure it aint a home but many have a tent over their heads - - AAAAAAAnnnnddddd they dont have to worry about paying rent - mortgage - tax - they come and go as they please - they get government assistance - $$$$$ and that's the way it is. First you say they cant find jobs then you say its hard to find people - They are just too lazy to pick or dig or do any type of manual labor - I am aware that if you are homeless finding a job is hard. So their are places that can help - I hope - thing is shelters impose regulations. They dont want the rules. So you deal with em. If you think I am being heartless - OK you have to start somewhere then scale it back to reality.

@MarmeeMarch When immigrants came as yours and mine did there were no benefits available. You relied on yourself and rarely on church or friends. Now too many freeloaders cross the border asking directions to the welfare and food stamp offices Disgraceful that some support this.
