Never forget! Never again!

I have had arguments with quite a few people on SW who spread far right talking points.
But I encountered a new low with a certain user (sree251) claiming:
Hitler did not commit atrocities. He was doing what we humans do to save the world
While we might disagree on political issues I like to use this post to remember all the victims of the Nazi - murder machinery and hope many come forward to join me in calling out and fighting any kind of Holocaust denial, fascist apologism and Neo-Nazism.

I'm surprised it took that long for you to find a Nazi sympathiser. There are actually tons on here.
@basilfawlty89 To be fair, they usually speak in code. They talk about how "groomers" are being put in the schools by "George Soros."
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@BohemianBoo true, but not all of them. I've seen quite a few Holocaust deniers and open Antisemites and racists.
@BohemianBoo Will you just shut the fuck up? This is a post about REAL VICTIMS who were sent to Auschwitz, worked to death in Labour camps, etc. If this happens in your Country, get back to me.

@BritishFailedAesthetic er...he has a real point though. LGBT people were also victims of Auschwitz. In Chechnya and Russia, hate crimes against LGBT people are not only allowed, but encouraged. In fact in the former it's legal to kill LGBT people. The rhetoric used to spread this message by Putin and his cronies were by calling LGBT people pederasts and groomers.
@BritishFailedAesthetic What do you think "Never Again" means?
I know to you, it's all just memes, you like larping as a Nazi because it makes you feel edgy. To those of us who don't have the mind of a 15 year old incel, this is actually serious.
@basilfawlty89
LGBT people were also victims of Auschwitz.
Yes they were. And shame on Republicans calling Democrats "Nazis" too.

This is supposed to be a moving tribute to victims of the Nazi regime and people can't keep their trap shut about modern politics still.
@BritishFailedAesthetic Because history is repeating itself, you fucking cartoon character.
@BohemianBoo
this is actually serious.
Yeah, so quit making false analogies and treat this memorial page with some respect.

I don't larp as a Nazi- you are deranged if you think I espouse their ideology.

@BritishFailedAesthetic but the people are pointing this out are not doing so for virtue signalling. They're doing so, because there's a very real risk of it happening again.

The Holocaust did not start with the gas chambers. Genocides have stages. I would heartily recommend looking at Genocide Watch and the Lemkin Institute who study this professionally.

The rhetoric in the US against LGBT people, in particular trans people is alarming.

Never again...unfortunately keeps happening again and again. Guatemala, Rwanda, Burma, Cambodia, etc. are examples.

Right now over 100 000 ethnic Armenians in Artsakh are being starved to death by Azerbaijani occupiers.

@basilfawlty89 I will stop with repeated responses as I am being hypocritical- this page is about victims.

I just do not see the US sending off LGBT people to death camps or news presenters saying "cut the trans people trees"
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
@BritishFailedAesthetic I've literally seen people calling for camps for transwomen on the right. I've literally seen all LGBT people demonised for one LGBT shooter. I've seen bans on the rights of transitioning and the erasure of LGBT history.

This is how it starts.
@BritishFailedAesthetic Yes, because that's not how genocides start. Even the Nazis hid the Holocaust from the public. They never openly talked about murdering ethnic groups, rather they painted these groups as being "the enemy" of the people. Much like the right-wing establishment does to trans people.
@basilfawlty89
I've literally seen people calling for camps for transwomen on the right
Ok, was not aware of that.
@basilfawlty89 No kidding. There are too many anti Semitic people on SW.

I am shocked. Really saddened.
