@Ozymandiaz No I never said that. If Israel just wanted to kill Palestinians, they could kill them all in one fell swoop. It would take an afternoon or so. IDF could, technically.
What I said (and still say) is that Gaza must be complete destroyed before a peaceful relaunch is possible. A relaunch with greenhouses, hotels, casinos, ice cream parlors.

@helenS You did. Yes they could but then they wouldnt have a leg to stand on because they would be making it obvious and even people like you might become uncomfortable. They would not be able to deny what they are doing and would lose even US support. So your point isnt a very good one I am sorry to tell you.

@helenS It’s even more difficult to prove when a terrorist organization wants every Israeli dead and stops at nothing to get to that goal i.e. shooting missiles at Israeli cities causing the Israeli government to fire back.

Well then lets look at those guidelines

1.Killing members of the group;

-Given that this is a war and war causes casualties then how is this a genocide?

2. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

-unless the Israeli government is rounding up Palestinians in Gaza and torturing them then it doesn’t appear to be so.

3. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

After the October 7th massacre, The goal of the Israeli government is to get rid of Hamas for good or at least weaken them. That’s where this whole talk of genocide becomes difficult to prove because a terrorist organization is in the picture, remove them then make up your mind if the Israeli government is targeting Palestinians just for being Palestinian.

4. Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

-Doesn’t appear to be happening in this scenario

5. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

-Also doesn’t appear to be happening in this scenario.

So is Israel sterilizing Palestinian men and women so they can’t have kids? Is the IDF capturing men, women and children for mass execution just because they’re Palestinians? Are they torturing them?

@Ozymandiaz 🙄 That has long since been debunked. I read some articles about it because someone on here sent an article or two. Depo-Provera which was the main topic in the article is a contraceptive shot that prevents pregnancy up to 3 months. If the woman decides she wants to get pregnant she can discontinue getting those shots. That’s nowhere near sterilization i.e. removing the fallopian tubes for example.

Plus it doesn’t make sense that Israel who created Operation Solomon to help Eithopian Jews escape war and persecution in Eithopia during the late 1970s and early 1990s would do all that just to “sterlize” them once they got to Israel.
