Cancel Culture isn't real in that celebrities never lose their careers over things they say. But yeah, people do harass others online, that's been a thing since the moment the internet became widely available.

@BohemianBabe Yeah, cancel culture is more of a mass harassment campaign over something petty like in the video, (in my opinion, at least)

And it's not just mean words, it's doxxing, death/r*pe threats. Even going after the targets followers/customers. In some cases, real life stalking.

And its all done in the hopes that the content creator/business owner will cave in and flop.

It can be pretty dauting for small businesses and lowkey celebrities. Especially if they're female 😔
@Fishy If that's your definition of Cancel Culture, then sure, we've always had that.
The reason I don't like that definition is because originally, Cancel Culture referred to something new. Whereas if it's just people with no lives trying to lead a mass harassment campaign over something petty, that's not new at all.
