@Entwistle Supposedly. Well like that Mike Lindell scandal (My Pillow guy), he mentions on one of his commercials about cancel culture affecting us all. He is now practically giving away those stupid pillows because a bunch of retailers dropped his ass.
Funny though, he was making a killing off some pillows that were worth $10 at most but he could NOT keep his politics to himself, now he is going broke.
SO, even if the expression is used rather loosely, it certainly does exist.
