Seems overly exaggerated, heavily biased, and non-productive. Do better.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@MarkPaul It uses this new thing called humour.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Burnley123 Sorry to have to inform you, that's not humour. Slagging an entire group like that for sport is unconscionable. Exactly what are you hoping to accomplish?
@MarkPaul Unfortunately for your little rant it is actually very accurate but to know that would require knowing a bit of history and context. Anyone who calls it exaggerated knows absolutely nothing of leftist and labour history.

These are just two examples. I could have posted literally hundreds.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow As a historian I can tell you with assurance you are missing context. And, your so-called understanding of labour history, if that is what you are implying, seems nothing more that your ideological rhetoric that you pieced together from multiple historical propaganda documents. I suppose you could classify that as history... of sorts.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Burnley123 That's not the same thing. And, if you had informed me you were using me as your role model I would have been more careful to set a better example. But, I genuinely did not know.
@MarkPaul There you go giving yourself random titles again. Good job proving you are definitely not a historian. 🤣
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow All you do is randomly object to my credentials. It's interesting you never dispute my findings, just my credentials.
@MarkPaul No, you just randomly grant yourself new credentials on a whim and then usually faceplant and prove your claims to be suspect at best.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I don't recall that ever happening... I mean exactly like that.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@MarkPaul Almost your entire history on here, is you slagging off other groups: usually very bluntly and humoulessley. How can you not be aware of the irony?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Burnley123 Look... I'm trying to help people realize their full potential. Don't you see that? Do I have to explain every little thing to you? It's called the Socratic method of questioning, always questioning. I'm trying to get people to think for themselves. And, when they don't... well... I guess I lose my patience somewhat.

Am I passionate about the issues I report on...? Yeah, I guess you can say that. And, historically I will admit, my behaviour, in the name of passion, may have gone a bit too far. But, it was done for a reason. I think you will agree with me, I'm not like that anymore... not to that level. But, still I'm not one to coddle and coax people. I'm a student of the brutal honesty method. For sensitive types, like yourself perhaps, I realize that can be jarring.

As for the humour thing... and this is not the first time you have raised this. I guess you fancy yourself some kind of authority on keeping things light. Well, let me tell you this... everything I say is with good intentions and good cheer. And, it's a sad, sad (very sad) commentary that you feel the need to put me down for that.

Flailing and foaming at the mouth behind the keyboard lolol
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@MarkPaul Look man, I really don't care that much. What you post isn't the socratic method and just looks like shrill whining. It's politics reduced to playground name-calling and even when you post something I agree with, I really don't want to.

I'm far from perfect but I try to communicate my ideas on a way which persuades people. Though yes, I can be a smart arse and also longwinded.

My advice to you is indended in good faith but you are going to ignore or take it personally because you always do.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@deadgerbil OMG. You always show up at times like this with comments like this. NO... I am not flailing and foaming at the keyboard. I am out in the world confronting events... this is just something on the side... when I am able to find the time.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
@MarkPaul Hi, I'm President of a union!

Would you be interested in learning literally anything about labour history? Because there's a LOT of dead unionists in it.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Burnley123 You're commenting on the way I used to be. You know... the past. And, I consider all advice and feedback. And, the cartoon you posted here is hardly persuasive or in good humour. That was my original point.
Burnley123 · 41-45, M
@MarkPaul Just no.

I'm done trying. Have a nice day.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@Burnley123 Thanks for displaying your version of being measured and persuasive. I think I see exactly what you mean. Carry on...
