Do you think this 'cancel culture' is actually quite harmful and begets more hatred/judgement unnecessarily?

Oh, it's definitely harmful, reactionary, and susceptible to abuse. It's far too easy these days to fake something about a person, start spreading rumors, etc. and then watch as the "internet police" ruin their lives.
