Do people ever tell you you don't look like the ethnicity you are?

I'm Hispanic/Latino (Mexican and Argentinian descent, mostly), I have a Spanish surname, yet people tell me all the time I don't look it 😅 They've never been to Latin America, I guess. A lot of people of European descent there, and various eye, hair, and skin colors. "Hispanic" covers a wide range.

I’m an Eastern-European Jew, but I can speak spanish, so I’m sometimes mistaken as Latino. Hispanics tell me my pronunciation is good, but they’re confused by my accent. They usually think maybe I’m from Central or South America.
