Do people ever tell you you don't look like the ethnicity you are?

I'm Hispanic/Latino (Mexican and Argentinian descent, mostly), I have a Spanish surname, yet people tell me all the time I don't look it 😅 They've never been to Latin America, I guess. A lot of people of European descent there, and various eye, hair, and skin colors. "Hispanic" covers a wide range.

I'm of English, Scottish and Irish descent - with Irish surname, but people always ask if I'm French. Not really sure why, as the French have a diverse look afaik. Doesn't matter, I was born and live in the U.S.
