why isnt there more films and tv series on African Culture, history and gods?

Hollywood love trying to rewrite history and culture with forced diversity in films and series based on historical history but they dont seem to make actual shows with POC culture, history, gods and so on.

I honestly think more of that stuff would be great to watch and learn from instead of disrespecting others culture and history.

Same with race and gender swapping established characters in entertainment. Why not make new exciting characters instead of doing that?
Clearly its all money related. They pick what sells really well and throws in a sprinkle of forced diversity to create headlines and attention to make more money. Netflix and so on dont really care about diversity, LGBTQ and so on. They care about money and the moment it stops being profitable for them, You wait and see them drop all of it in a heartbeat.
Those companies are not your friends, they just want your money

I think it's considered more of an intellectual and esoteric interest, TBH. Hollywood's first aim is to rake in the cash, and the things that rake in the cash are violence and sex, and movies that glorify them.

Even Alex Haley's "Roots" didn't do AS well on television as they had hoped, and it generated a lot of investigation into whether or not he had written factually.

People who major in anthropology in college can certainly study African history, gods, and so on.

Voodoo, a recognized legal religion now still practiced in the United States, was imported from Africa.
