A Night In The Moon's Garden

A journey of so many darkened nights
A thousand times a thousand
My buried tomb; no woeful plight
Because of the nightfall I arouse in

My realm is in the garden of the moon
An ethereal pardon to which I commune
Growing misty tendrils with lunar veins
Attracting those sinners to the harvest pain

Though leagues away I catch her scent
She smells of sunshine and wheat fields;
Autumn raindrops and stormy weather.
An astral soul and my warm conundrum

Her heartbeat weaving in sweet waves through my thoughts
Each thump a pulse of silent-rage onslaught
A primal temptation of chase and pursuit
But that tree will die if I consume the fruit

So I pause to remain unseen.
I watched her dance with hazy shadows
In the forest ravine.

Now the earthen floor calls to me
A dawning solitude in rich soil
Where my dreams return me to the light
And the sun I lost so many ages ago

Terra firma, I'm burrowing in
I shed my humanity like a skin
My daily death and now undying wish
For her soulful eyes, and passionate kiss
