It's the real reason Jesus died. He absorbed every cruelty so it wouldn't spill over. But that was either a long time ago or it never actually happened. Somebody has to fill that role, willingly or not. Humanity refuses to destroy itself funnily enough so there's always a sacrifice being held. Very few of us are aware or honest about that. I am comfortable pushing you in the volcano because I know as you breathe. You can live or you can spare but you don't and can't do both.
