Why does it seem like the older we get the less creative we become?

Maybe it's not that people become less creative, rather that they have less time in which to be creative? And more responsibilities and distractions?

We get distracted a lot as we grow older so I believe our creative instincts take a backseat.
However once we get over the first few necessities of life we may revive that spark again .Like now ,I am trying to explore my options in Music and Arts which I never did before.

Very interesting thought. Was I more creative 15 years ago? I don't know.

Yes. Sometimes I can't believe I drew that. Or wrote that.
