Let's have a chat about parasitic wasps and why they exist.

Imagine being an innocent spider, just living your best life, eating flies and other pest insects. Then along comes this wasp and stings you. You'd think that would be the end of the nightmare, wouldn't you?

Except it's not.

Because the wasp didn't inject a lethal poison in you. She paralyzed you so she can lay her eggs in you.

Those eggs are going to hatch inside you, and guess what they'll be eating?

Right first guess.

But you can't do anything, because you're paralyzed. And you couldn't do anything even if you weren't paralyzed, because those eggs are deep inside you. And now the wasp is dragging you into a dark hole. You are fully awake and aware for all of this hell.
