Cawl, which is a type of lamb stew.
Laverbread, seaweed.
Bara brith, fruit loaf
Welsh rarebit, cheese om toast
Welsh cakes , flat scones.

As a welsh person living in Wales, i have to say, things thought as a traditonal welsh food are not really common dishes in most parts of Wales these days.....its pretty rare theyd be on a menu if you eat out.

@RubySoo Like that word cawl, also spelt caul, without cheating by looking it up I recall it's a membranous stomach lining of a sheep or cow, like tripe, also by extension a shroud or protective lining of a vulnerable entity, the word embodied in Harry Caul, the sensitive insular and doomed protagonist in the 1970s spy thriller The Conversation.

@UpForItNow two completely different words in two different languages and two completely different meanings...... even if they sound the same🙂
