Not Enough Parking Spaces To Go Around In Wales Welsh Councils Should Do More.
[b]Couple stunned to find note on their car telling them not to park in their own street
The mystery message stated that their details had been taken and reported to the council.A couple were stunned to find a note left on their car warning them not to park on their own street.
Nicci Williams from Buckley in Flintshire said she and her partner discovered the handwritten message, which had been placed inside a plastic wallet and left on the vehicle, on Tuesday, March 23. It read, "Don't park here this is resident's parking ONLY. There is a free 24 hour car park around the corner next to small shop. Details taken and reported to council."
Incensed, Nicci - who's lived on the street for three years - described her "disbelief" at being targeted and called the note "absolutely ridiculous." "We parked behind our house on a street with no double yellows or disabled lines, road tax paid and Highway Code abided by - so report us to who you like," she posted on Facebook.
"Absolutely ridiculous that people think they're entitled to tell others where to park. Any damage to the car and we’re sending the police to your door, we know exactly who you are.
"And it's not residents parking - residential parking would mean parking permits, there are absolutely no restrictions for parking here." Speaking to North Wales Live, Nicci said: "We were both in disbelief really, we have lived here for nearly three years and have always parked there."
Parking is getting difficult everywhere I have had my own problems where I live I fully understand their feelings there aren't enough parking spaces to go around our councils don't consider motorists anymore.
