Venezuelan Oil or Cocaine?

Cocaine is an excuse. Oil is the true reason.
American aggresion and domination of the western hemisphere gets as crude as the oil of the country with the largest reserve in the world. That and gold.

Its a shame that Americans voted to power a man who is unscrupulous to the extreme and does not respect any nations sovereignty or elected head of state!

Didn’t India just bomb Kashmir? Of course America’s interventions in Venezuela raises concerns but c’mon every country acts in self interest when it can. Doesn’t India justify military pressure on Pakistan the same way? Everyone criticising America without looking in the mirror- it feels a little selective don’t you think?

@InterdimensionalSideEye No India didnt bomb Kashmir. It bombed select points in Pakistan which bred and supported terrorists.
It also did not kidnap a foreign democratically elected head of country to try him under Indian law.
Big difference.
I would not support such an act even if India did it.

@WandererTony True, India didn’t snatch a foreign president off their soil. My point is more about the principle, nations act in their self-interest when they can. Targeting the U.S. alone for interventionism feels selective when every state, including India, leverages power abroad in ways it sees fit. Corruption is so bad in my country, I would support it here.

But then there is this phrase "preemptive strike" in military parlance. And then there is some more - like oil and gold. US has selectively attacked Iraq, Iran and now Venezuela.
And it is not really pro democracy either. Biden disturbed Bangladesh. Brought in a radical regime, now they have civil riots. Unnecessary interference, except satisfying american interests. Unethical.
