Mother Of All Bombs - Foreign and Domestic

Colonel Douglas Macgregor and Col. Daniel Davis on their recent Daniel Davis Deep Dive Podcast couldn't be more right on the money Geopolitically and Domestically...[media=https://www.youtube.com/live/wwubJV6CqA0?is=MC26CcF-F8ox36vK]

Debt topples powerful Empires, Rome, Spain, France, Britain, or the Soviet Union. The typical pattern of collapsing Empires is:

Stage #1: Empires achieve success and become overconfident.

Stage #2: Overconfidence leads to extravagant spending on luxuries and Wars.

Stage #3: Empires finance this lavish spending by going into Debt.

Stage #4: The Debt grows to an unsustainable level and creates a crushing burden.

Stage #5 :Empires finance the Debt through Taxation and Currency debasement.

Stage #6: The Citizenry bears Debt repayment as Empires raise Taxes and debase the Currency until it causes internal instability.

Stage #7: Empires cannot finance their militaries because of their Debt burden. This is usually the tipping point.

Stage #8: Underfunded Militaries plus internal instability make Empires vulnerable to Foreign Invasion, Domestic Revolution, Civil War, and other existential dangers.

Stage #9: The Empire collapses.

The US Government is between #8 and #9 in the Empire Collapse Pattern described. The US Government’s Debt is rapidly exponentially and unstoppable. Annualized Debt Interest exceeds $2 Trillion NOW higher than Defense, Social Security, and now the BIGGEST Line item.

The American Taxpayers are at their breaking point. The US will try to have its cake and eat it too by paying for growing Defense and Domestic obligations via Currency Debasement. The US Dollar has lost over 98% of its value against Gold since 1971.

By the numbers Ive seen for myself, I'm more confident than ever that Social Security and Medicare Recipients, Disabled Kids/Adults, and Others who've been promised something from the US Government will know they're being paid in Monopoly Money. They'll be pissed off, desperate, hopeless, and violent. Their Adult Children and other Family Members can't and won't be there or able to care for them. Survival of the Fittest will be the reality. The idea of them starting over or having any chance at a Standard of Living or Quality of Life falls through the floor.

I'm also more confident than ever that US Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, Marines, and Coast Guardsmen will realize the same. They'll be more pissed off and violent after they find out they were nothing more than Hired Help, Hired Guns, and used as Mercanaries for the Corporate Paymasters who bought off the US Government and Foreign Governments alike. Their chances at a Quality of Life will drop out too.

The United States' crushing Debt will be obvious to everyone, and that the US Military is Flat Broke, then Unrest will ravage as average US Citizenry bears Debt Repayment through sky high Taxation, Inflation, and broken Promises on Social programs. After all, Promises are a comfort to a Baffling Fool. The Piper will be at their doors demanding to be Paid.

When private Businesses go bankrupt, Shareholders get wiped out. When Governments go Bankrupt, those who hold its Fiat Currency will be wiped out...

• It's time to face the Truth reality of the United States Government fashioning itself as a generous and benevolent World Leader enforcing the “Rules-Based Order”—a deceptive construct used by Globalists to bully other Countries. The "Rules" are arbitrarily changed to suit the Bullies and fashioned into pretexts for Military Crimes against uncooperative Nations. It was a Hoax to start with.

We witness spectacles illustrating the appalling Ignorance, Arrogance, and Corruption of all3 Branches of Government. The recent release of Anthony Fauci’s Diary entries confirms the Scam of the Covid-19 Narrative, we know Fauci himself didn't believe. Yet this vain Phony, when asked to testify before the US Congress, hid behind 6 lawyers and refused to answer any questions. Why did "The Science" need to Plead the Fifth in front the US Congress 111 times if he was already Pardoned by Joe Biden?! If He's the "The Science", Why couldn't Anthony Fauci have actually told everyone where the Coronavirus originated from and defend his decisions with confidence?! What a fine example of Transparency from one of our leading Scientists and Civil Servants! What else are our Leaders still hiding about the Worldwide disaster caused by such Deception?! There's been no meaningful examination of the Medical Profession, who acted as cowards, adhering to the bogus Official Narrative at the expense of the Welfare of THEIR patients.

Our Leadership hasn't even begun to scratch the surface of the Horrors created by the many Secret —and potentially Illegal —Biolabs scattered around the Globe, supported by Funds often hidden from Voters under the guise of “National Security.”

America’s bunglings in the Middle East remains a National and Global shame and embarrassment. The US Treasury Secretary Soros Scotty brags about ruining the Lives and Currency of the Iranian Citizenry, in a War of Aggression. In Gaza, Washington enabled a brutal assault on a vulnerable Citizenry. Americans considered standing up for the vulnerable and innocent an honorable act of a true American. Not our Leaders. Opposing the harm of politically inconvenient innocents attracts Name-calling, Ostracism, and Sanctions.

The current Wars of Aggression and Attrition have exposed the shortcomings of our Trillion Dollar Military and its Multi-Billion-Dollar Weapons Systems. If there's any indication, we'd assume there's hidden and shockingly ugly information about the Military-Industrial Complex. The failure of our expensive Defense Systems to protect our Persian Gulf “Allies” from Iranian Missiles and Drone Attacks is a tragic example of the US Government's Lies. Despite repeated failures, the Administration brags of its ability to destroy Iran’s Military and its remaining Missiles and Drones. After years of possessing the “most powerful Military” in History, the American Public realizes it's a bogus fantasy. The success of that false narrative rests on decades of fighting those riding donkeys and bicycles.

The US Government classifies and redacts documents as a matter of course—especially information about the most important History-changing events remain shrouded in Secrecy.

How is it that information is still being withheld about the Assassination of President John F. Kennedy?! After 6 decades, What bad behavior are they still “protecting” from the Public?!

Most Americans know the Official Government Narrative was false. The same for the Assassinations of Malcolm X, Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. The US Government’s willful abandonment of US prisoners of the Horror in Vietnam, the September 11 Attacks, and the late, disgraced Financiers Jeffrey Epstein.

Our Political Indentured Servants frenzied efforts to hide the Epstein files use the “National Security” excuse as a convenient tool to obscure disgusting Malfeasance, Rape, Blackmail, Bribery, and Corruption. They clearly believe they're not subject to the same pesky and inconvenient Laws as everyone else. So much for Equal Protection under the Law and the Horror of the “Rules-Based Order,” currently wreaked on the World —and on our own Country.

Why has the 2nd Trump Administration bombed at least 7 Countries and engaged in underhanded efforts to weaken and harm the Political Systems of others?!

It serves only the Special Interests of the Elites. All this from a President who campaigned on an America First policy, an end to Forever Wars, and the promotion of Peace. America played itself! Presidential Candidate after Presidential Candidate promises Peace. The System is subverted by Corruption. Who ever knew that voting for an appallingly ignorant and incompetent Psychopath and Buffoon would have Blowback and Unintended Consequences?!

As the Illegal War failure against Iran is increasingly obvious, American Taxpayers and Consumers realize it's never been about their interests to begin with. As the War against Russia in Ukraine failed miserably, American and European Leaders continue frantically than ever promoting the bogus fantasy of Ukraine's defeating Russia in that disastrous Vietnam Style Barbecue Pit.

There's one positive development;
The American Public, Taxpayers, Consumers, especially the younger Generation recognize the Corruption and Rot of the US Government. They understand the Special Interests (driving the boneheaded boondoggles), care NOTHING about the well-being of the General Public.

True of our “Allies,” who watched US Elites prioritize Israel over US Security. Ours isn't an Exceptional Nation, not the “Shining City on a Hill, nor a Thousand Points of Light.” It's a deeply declining Empire with a declining Military unable to protect its Allies, yet still seeking to bully any country that angers its Corrupt Elites. Our Military Defenses are so ineffective that Iran—one-fourth our size, with an Economy smaller than our bloated Military Budget —can name its next round of targets knowing our US Military can't stop them.

The problem is whether the American Public, Taxpayers, and Consumers have Loyalty enough, honor enough, Patriotism enough, to live up to their own Constitution.

Another doom Sayer predicting worst case calamity.

The "9-stage empire collapse" template is a forced narrative. The Soviet Union didn't collapse from debt — it collapsed from structural inefficiency and political failure. Britain never "collapsed" from debt. Rome's causes are debated and not primarily a debt story. This is a pattern-matching exercise, not history.

"Exponentially" is a specific mathematical claim the data doesn't support. The debt is growing ~$2-3T/year, which is a large percentage of GDP but roughly linear in absolute terms.

"The US Military is Flat Broke" isn't supported. Defense is still the #2 line item. Underfunded relative to ambition, yes — "flat broke" is not what the numbers say.

The social-collapse predictions (violence, "survival of the fittest," "monopoly money") present one dramatic outcome as near-certain. It's not impossible, but it's not what the data mandates.

What's ignored:
Japan carries debt-to-GDP above 250% and hasn't collapsed. Post-WWII US debt was 120%+ of GDP and the country went on to decades of growth. The US issues the world's reserve currency and has institutional flexibility (tax, reform, restructure) that the empires in that list didn't have in the same form. These don't make the problem go away, but they make "collapse" a much less certain outcome than the post implies.

Bottom line:
The post is ~70% legitimate fiscal alarm wrapped in ~30% doom narrative. The underlying concern — that the current trajectory is unsustainable without significant policy change — is well-founded. The conclusion that the US is "between stage 8 and 9" of an inevitable civilizational collapse is not supported by the data. It's a serious problem being dressed up as a certainty.

@Gibbon This lady periodically makes posts like this regarding the US debt.

I've politely questioned her on some of this, and I've also challenged her on some of what she has written.

IF, I get a response, it's usually a variation of "Duhhhh...I dunno...." and then she stops responding.
Gibbon · 70-79, M
@SumKindaMunster Yes I've been seeing those posts. She's just fear mongering with controversial data. This one was the last straw for me so I decided to throw some actual facts at her.
ArishMell · 70-79, M
I do not know what opinions are expressed in that video, as it will not play for some reason, at least not on my broadband-service PC. So I can respond only to your views:

You can not apply the present-day domestic fiscal problems of a single country which does not have an empire (though likes to act is if it does) to all empires of the past.

Empires have come and gone throughout history, but they faded in their own ways for their own reasons.

These reasons include -

- over-extension so becoming too hard to defend,

-administrative failure which might be by corruption or ineptitude,

- by other empires' invasions,

- by colonists or their descendants seceding from their home lands,

- and of course by the colonised taking back what had been their own lands in the first place.

Debt though? No!

In debt to whom? Most if not all of those ancient empires were not in debt internationally because such international mony-trading systems did not exist!

Going through your stages:

Stage 1: Probably true for most empires.

Stage 2: I don't know what you count as a "luxury" in this context, but wars certainly are not. The empire was obtained by a mix of force and simple colonising, but military force became necessary to sustain it from colonised, colonists and invaders (as points 3 and 4 above).

Stages 3 and 4. Essentially the same stage. Debt to whom? Modern nations are in debt to others, but the empires of the past were not.

Stage 5: Applicable to single, modern nations; not empires.

Stages 6 onwards. Possible nowadays for a single nation; perhaps to the Soviet Empire; but not applicable to the French, Spanish, British, Roman, Greek, Mongol, etc. empires.

Most Americans know the Official Government Narrative was false.

Have you asked all Americans about some "narrative" you believe exists but do not define?

As the War against Russia in Ukraine failed miserably,
and its following luridly-expressed opinion.

Let's get this straight. Russia invaded Ukraine, a sovereign nation that even has its own culture and language slightly different from Russia's, in a pure land-grab. Most European nations (nearly thirty independent, democratic nations) support Ukriane against President Putin's ambitions.

The USA did support Ukraine, but it is hard to know now quite who President Trump supports - Ukraine or Russia. The USA also saw a cynical money-making opportunity by not supplying Ukraine with wepsons and defence systems directly, but making them available only via selling them to the USA's European NATO allies. Including allies who genuinely fear that if ex-KGB Officer Putin does win Ukraine, they will be next in his gun-sights.

The Russian Federation is already actively but covertly attacking Europe, and the USA is just as open to similar types of attack.

The war in Ukraine cannot be said to have "failed" because it has not ended, but Putin did fail in his original hope of seizing the nation in little more than a coup lasting only a few days - at tank-gun point..

+++++

Your profile says you are American. Perhaps you are - though certainly no fan of President Trump and his cliques even if you are a Republican Party supporter. Or given your anti-US, anti-Ukraine line, are you really a false profile written in or for Moscow?

I have just heard a brief news headline on the radio that Isreal and the USA have announced planning further strikes on Iran - neatly after the US' Mid-term-Election. So giving the nation they are attacking, advance warning to help defend herself from these illegal attacks, and a little time to replensish her and her Houthi ally's arsenals.

Last Friday afternoon the Treasury Department released numbers for Fiscal Year 2026, ended September 30. The results: HORRIBLE, APPALLING, INEXCUSABLE.

Treasury reported a total Budget Deficit of $2 Trillion. Mandatory spending— Social Security and Medicare— Interest on the Debt, exceeded 100% of Tax Revenue. They could've literally furloughed the entire US Military, shut down National Parks, laid off the TSA, etc., and still would've been a Budget Deficit.

Few American Consumers take this seriously. Congress (nor the Constituents they continue to make utter fools out of) is jumping and shouting from the rooftops to cut this Budget immediately. No one in the Corporate Media is talking about it...

The Number One issue for American Voters right now is affordability. Life in the US is absurdly expensive. If you visit Texas, every time you leave the house it costs $200 just to do something. Everyone has stories about just how mind-numbingly expensive life is. They’re looking for Prices to fall to the levels of 2019 and before then.

Many of the American Public, Taxpayers, and Consumers don’t realize that Government Spending with an insane level of Regulation, is responsible for the skyrocketing Cost Of Living. The Corporate Media is focused on the Criminal and Illegal War in Iran— which contributed to sky high Energy Prices.

Everything the Government touches and ‘invests’ in becomes more expensive, the ungodly-named Affordable Care Act is a prime example.

Obamacare was a noble idea in theory: Help Americans obtain Healthcare Insurance at a low cost. But in practice, Insurance Premiums are through the roof. The number of ‘uninsured’ only fell because Tens of Millions were put on Medicaid or Taxpayer-Subsidized plans, Overall, Healthcare spending is less affordable.

The US Government now spends a Trillion Dollars a year on Healthcare not including Medicare, just Medicaid and similar programs.

The Government passed a bill to make Healthcare more affordable, now they spend a Trillion Dollars a year because people can’t afford the supposedly affordable Healthcare. Ironic isn't it?!

Everything the Government touches becomes more expensive: Healthcare, Housing, Education, Food, Energy etc.

Unfortunately, the American Public, Taxpayers, Voters, and Consumers don't know about the clear link between reckless Spending, feckless Regulation, and the Cost of Living. The Legacy Media has no interest in telling the truth, they'd much rather pit Americans against each other on Social issues so as not to be accountable for their obvious failures to report the truth about the US Government's failures and bunglings.

Gross interest on the Debt in Fiscal year 2026 was $1.36 Trillion, 25% of Tax Revenue, more than what was spent on the Military. If that's not a blatant warning that spending is out of control, I don't know what is.

Hundreds of Billions are lost to outright Fraud.
American Voters elect the most Ignorant, Incompetent, and Morally Bankrupt people on the planet to represent them.

Anyone who understands Economics and Monetary Policy knows the United States Government is Flat Broke and Bankrupt beyond recognition...

All Empires crash and burn, none of them exist in the Present Day. The US Empire will be no different.

Who really wants to confront the reality?!
It’s easier to continue living the Life of the Lie the US Government perpetuates, thanking US Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines for their Service, and having them respond, “You’re welcome” than it is to confront the fact that the Troops under mindsets based on lies and deceptions fed to them by US Political Indentured Servants, killed who they had no Right to kill and then have to live with the consequences of their actions.

Actions Have Consequences Big Nations can't bluff. You can't blow apart and impose Sanctions on Sovereign Countries who never pose a Terrorist Threat to you, install the Governments you want, then Nation-Build in their Sovereign Territories without there being something called Blowback and Unintended Consequences. An inconvenient Truth isn't exactly Self-Congratulatory or uplifting...

Re-reading suggests where the attempt to provide health benefits is has gone wrong. Most countries that have any sort of national health service pay the tax-funded bills directly to services owned by the State - i.e. owned by the nation's citizens.

If I understand this correctly, the USA has placed commercial interests between patient and doctor; both private hospitals and "insurance" companies, so even if the patient does not pay personally, the treatment cost is inflated by a large profit element taken by Wall Street.

The USA is supposedly the world's richest nation. So where is its money? Who has it?

Paying for large national services like the military, health and welfare, education, transport services, etc. entirely within a nation by the nation's own tax revenue does not put that nation in debt. It simply circulates the country's own money.

The debt happens only if the funding uses borrowing from abroad or if by the chimerical, so-called "inward investment". (Chimerical because such investment by foreign individuals, companies or nations is in the host country but not for the host).

A couple of small points. No empire has ever turned back from the brink of this chain of events..And America is clearly in Stage 6 now, for those who missed it..😷
