ICE is not constrained by nor respects any laws and the notion they are enforcing the law is a joke. They're a paramilitary who are trying to eradicate people in your neighbourhoods and communities.
And vitally, the "legal status" of these people is not of particular concern to them because this is not about the law and never was.

Of course it is racial profiling. I swear to gawd I hope he can sue a whole bunch of folks for that experience.
My cousin Étienne, who was once told he looked like Osama Bin Laden when he had locks and a full beard (and who has been clean-shaven ever since) was recently stopped and asked to show id by some of those goons.
He complied; he was going into the hospital where he works as a psychiatrist. He stayed calm and several of his colleagues came to stand with him. Luckily, that and the "officers” being satisfied with his id, they backed off.
His sister was talking about it this morning. She was saying African Americans can’t assume that we are safe and won’t be targeted by Trump’s immigration stormtroopers. 🥺
