why are shooter snow always trans, before they were just mentally ill?

its odd in usa where they have lots of shooting, before the shooter would always be described as mentally ill, but now they always say they are trans? why, why would trans people keep shooting,

5 Trans people have been responsible for shootings in recent times in the US. 5, an absolute minority of any shooters. (Why is it even possible to say that fact - you could not classify types of shooters in any other country in the World!!)
