From what I can tell Native Americans came in various shades, depending on tribe and their geographic origins prior to immigrating to the Americas.

Haudensoneee had a recirfef language using wampum beeds. The inca used knotted cords to record history, data, and events. The ojibwa used birch scrolls to record on.

@MethDozer their understanding of the natural world (including astronomy) was beyond belief . You mentioned the southern empires . The people in n America were mostly semi if not totally nomadic w no huge empire like Maya Inca etc..no what people consider “civilizations “ in modern US

@hippyjoe1955 Asian people had several thousand years of history on this continent before it was named America . I don’t dismiss their history . I just don’t know it , because they didn’t have a written language , like in many sub Sahara countries . They don’t even know when they came to this continent . We had to tell them it was millennium ago from a land bridge
