Imagine there's a law that says, 'If a baby is born in your home, you're responsible for taking care of it."

I'm fairly certain that after having a 2nd or 3rd child, you would start opposing that law. What might initially seem like a good idea will become misused or exploited. That’s essentially what’s happening with immigration today. Yes, we can allow people to come here and have children, but many have learned how to work the system. "I’m about to have a baby I can’t afford... why not go to America?" I understand the hardship, and I do have sympathy, but that doesn’t mean we should allow people to break our laws.

And it's been exploited for 157 years. I understand the thinking then but they couldn't imagine that Big Ole Jet Airliner arriving just in time to say my baby was born in the USA.
Not to mention the higher numbers sneaking across the border specifically for that purpose.
It's time to end it. We are not your permanent child care assistants.
