I truly don't understand it, but when it comes to politics, ESPECIALLY politics online, and maybe even more so with Americans , at least I haven't seen it as much from other countries, but people's brains turn off and it's all emotional attack mode.
I promise you, that the majority of Americans are against Putin. Maybe not for Ukraine, but they're certainly against Putin.
I'm sorry that you're family and your country have had to go through this, and personal, I thought other countries should have stepped in to help, after Ukraine stalemated them, then especially after Ukraine started to push them back...
If other countries had stepped up, I believe this war would of already been over.
Positive thoughts and prayers is all I can offer. 🙏

It's like when politics comes up, all they see is red and go into attack mode, with no political debate or reasoning, but more of a game of one up markship and you win of you make the other person feel horrible...
Basically they mentally at war... or have some sort of political PTSD, almost like the opinion "News" stations have hypnotized them or something

@sstronaut Yeah the thing is that many times for me, politics didn't come up, I was just writing about stuff going on in my life and certain types of people felt that it was political, which in turn made them feel like they had an excuse to completely dehumanize both me and the experiences I wrote about.

It's not your fight. You didn't ask Zelenskyy to attempt to Join NATO. You didn't ask Zelenskyy to make hostile enemy of Russia by bombing Russians in the Donbass region. And you didn't ask Zelenskyy to incorporate the racist Nazi Azov Brigade into Ukraine's military.

@Nightwings Secondly, Ukraine was attacked because it violated the Minsk II Agreement. We have the proof. Countless videos of Ukraine bombing Donbas in 2021. Supposedly bombing your own countrymen, but the people in Donbas don't want to be apart of Ukraine. They voted to join Russia.
The battlefield speaks for itself. Your president claims Ukraine has killed nearly a million Russian soldiers (which would be two-thirds of Russia’s military force), while Ukraine has supposedly lost only around 100,000. Seriously? The world is laughing at you. How can anyone believe that? If Ukraine had truly eliminated two-thirds of Russia’s troops, Russia wouldn’t still be advancing.
