What do you believe is the greatest threat facing the United States, and what measures would you implement to address it?

The greatest threat to the United States lies not beyond its borders, but within—where the erosion of family bonds, the decay of core values, and an overzealous grip on political correctness will destroy the nation.

@Renkon I think we could apply that to many countries, but we'd need define those bonds and values; and which are being eroded, how and why.

Some values are universal, good and genuinely valuable; but others are now only "valuable" to those who can exploit them for their own ends to others' detriment, so need go.

People were worrying similarly hundreds of years ago although social change was generally slower then; but in hindsight many changes threw out the bad. Whether every replacement was good is a moot point, but most weere. Society has to change and adapt otherwise it risks simply stifling itself to death in that way.
