I have thought about it I am for social welfare to help struggling individuals

I think someone who is homeless or in poverty should get government welfare until they can get back on their own two feet with enough income to sustain themselves. I believe in universal basic income in theory. I believe we should be more like European countries and not let our most vulnerable fall through the cracks. I believe in providing caregiver benefits to someone who has to stay at home and reduce work in order to care for children, elderly, or disabled friends or family members. Someone might say that makes me a socialist but many European countries are compassionate capitalist countries. I also believe in health insurance and benefits including paid time off for part time workers as well as full time. Yes they take half your income maybe but the services provided and better quality of life might justify the costs including affordable healthcare and subsidized higher education. I feel America can do more for its own citizens and residents. This you’re on your own pull yourself up by the bootstraps mentality is very toxic. I’m for the most part very European in my beliefs I feel. Western Europe has more protections and social benefits for the most vulnerable than the United States has. The only thing I think that makes me American thinking. Is the right to bear arms and have guns and weapons to defend yourself and a couple of other things. It’s just America to me is too cut throat and ruthless and really expensive without the benefits of more advanced countries. Where are the Christian values of caring for the most vulnerable in society instead of everyone fends for themselves. No country or system is perfect or without its drawbacks but it seems like America could be more compassionate and care more for the average person.

The "religious Right" is not Christian, and the chasers of the prosperity gospel worship mammon.

I think that covers it.

Christian Nationalism is just Fascism.
