What would happen if America had no party in majority control of any branch of government?

@ThirstenHowl the president yes but what if president snd vp were different parties there are "parties" besides democrat and republican fyi. So what if 3 supreme court justices were green party, 3 democrat, and 3 republican? Therefore lack of imagination doesnt change reality.
