That sounds about right.
No, America, Zionists, British... We are God's chosen people.

The Houthis are not fazed by Trump's "rain of hell" attacks. These are not timid Palestinians. They have been under a U.S. supported blockade for a decade. These hardened warriors, who survived famines, are promising to fight on!

I am against Islamists seeking power anywhere. That includes Houthis and the thousands of war crimes they committed towards civilians in Yemen. It was clear in the 5 groups war they diverted to crimes and cruelty when they started recruiting kids. Even when your cause is just, the minute you employ children, you lost legitimacy. It is not strength..

But I am also against western interferences and Saudi Arabia and UAE bombing and murdering civilians...they never had problem with Islamist Houthis until Houthis started striking Israeli ships.

Before then the instability served them well, just like with Taliban and El Quaeda. Many of these countries create the circumstances for these militant groups to thrive. They have no right whatsoever to interfere and attack Yemeni territories as whole and punish innocent people for what's not their fault to begin with.

@Miram Thanks for your thoughtful response. It seems like the U.S. is losing its grip on global influence, and we're in a bit of a paradox right now.

When it comes to Israel, the U.S. has supported Israel since 1948, and today, Israel is just as much of an asset to us as we are to them. But it seems like Biden was unable to keep Netanyahu in check, and Trump doesn't want to. The whole issue could be resolved if the U.S. brought every country in the region to the table and said, "Okay, let's get rid of Hamas, but let's give Palestinians the right to Statehood." Trump doesn't want this and neither does Netanyahu.

@Jokersswild

Biden wasn't unable to keep Israel in check, he had no intention of doing so, just like Trump. Actually, he was even worse than Trump. Biden had the backing of a significant portion of his voter base to take long lasting measures against the war; Trump didn't. Trump backing is largely pro-Israelyi. In terms of numbers, Biden bears more responsibility when it comes to Gaza specifically. He betrayed his voters.

I remember having this conversation repeatedly with Democrats, and they kept parroting how Trump "would" be worse. All they had were "potential" comparisons instead of examining the actual numbers and policies, and more importantly pressuring Biden. Rather than holding him accountable and his government, they blamed the Arabs who were pushing the Democratic Party to change its stance.

Arab countries did hold their own meeting, but it resulted in an empty plan with no details on how it would be implemented. Hamas stated they would put down their arms if a Palestinian state were established and would allow Gaza to have an independent governing committee from other Palestinian territories.

I've been to Gaza, and I was treated incredibly well by the people there, better than how IDF soldiers treated me. But I'm not sure I trust Hamas to follow through on their promises. Violence breeds unpredictability, aggression, crime, immorality, cruelty..They have deep grudges and significant traumas and it is bound to get misplaced on innocent people. Their hatred towards Israel is strong and not without a reason. But there are innocent people in Israel just like in Palestine who I don't want to suffer.

It’s complicated.

I’m not sure they should give up arms entirely either. As an organization it has failed and it has its own crimes. But let's be honest here, a country without an army, right next to one that is actively seizing its land? How reasonable is that long term?

I don’t know. I just want the killing to stop.
America has certainly changed sides

@SomeMichGuy The U.S. has a history of wrongdoing, but it has never been so blatant as it is now. What's happening in Gaza, how the world is perceiving it, and the U.S.' support for Israel certainly places us on the wrong side of history. I'm not sure how Europeans will view this in the future, but the rest of the world will certainly remember it.
@Jokersswild And we are on the wrong side of Ukraine
