Yes but they entered the country legally, I empathize “Legally” .
Times have changed with the growth and outside threats to America. A lot of lawmaking has been done since then. A country without borders is not a country.

@MarbleMarvel back then it was socially acceptable for people to act that way. First they were hostile towards us, we then had a war and won. Winner took all . Not saying that I agree. Just saying. There was also a time in the states it was legal to own slaves and at one time it was illegal to possess alcohol.
