Small town Americana

You know you’re driving through small town USA when you see a store selling guns, gold, and silver

Got me thinking; wouldn’t buying one allow me to get the other two for free? 🤔

On a side note, also saw a farm sign saying they sell Pornstar Pumpkins. That’s an interesting marketing campaign

A friend recounted a curious small-town shop experience when on a holiday in the country.

He was able to buy ammunition without question, to replace that he'd been invited to expend on his host's private range, but not a few bottles of beer, in the same shop!

Yet he was a foreigner, in a rural town that probably sees few outsiders, even fellow Americans.

(The snag was that he could not prove his age for buying the beer. He had left his passport with his hosts, and the cashier could not understand how the UK Driving Licence carries your Date of Birth, not openly but slightly hidden within its serial number. Rifle rounds though... no problem!)
