because we host so many European tourists?
MasterLee · 56-60, M
@pancakeslam yeah they do flock here
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@MasterLee I'm sure they love McDonald's too. reminds them of home.
swirlie · F
@pancakeslam
How so?
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@swirlie they claim superiority over Americans, but Europeans must have to duck into McDonald's and Eurodisney with bags over their heads to get their fix
swirlie · F
@pancakeslam
What makes you think Europeans eat at McDonalds? I've never heard of that before.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@swirlie The total number of McDonald's restaurants in Europe is over 10,000... so....
swirlie · F
@pancakeslam

..and, so what?
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@swirlie well who do you think eats at McDonald's in Europe? Aliens? 👾
swirlie · F
@pancakeslam
American tourists, who else? That's where Americans flock to when they travel abroad, is to the nearest McDonald's restaurant.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@swirlie I doubt tourists are even going to the small towns they are sometimes located. also, as a tourist I guess who I saw eating there? locals. they change the menu slightly in each country to appeal to the locals as well.
swirlie · F
@pancakeslam
McDonalds don't build in small towns, which means tourists don't eat at McDonalds in small towns. The whole McDonald's business plan is not about food and restaurants, it's about prime real estate ownership. That is why you'll never see a McDonald's restaurant in a small town, nor in a part of town where the property values are low.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@swirlie tourists aren't their major source of business. do they also have Taco Bell and BK for tourists?
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
swirlie · F
@pancakeslam
It depends on where the tourist industry typically entertains tourists.
swirlie · F
@pancakeslam
..and your point to providing an obesity graph is...?
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@swirlie the graph shows evidence of a fast food habit.

OK I guess it's a mix of tourists and locals in some locations. agreed.
swirlie · F
@pancakeslam

What does your graph have to do with Europe then?
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@swirlie that's just the UK
swirlie · F
@pancakeslam
Well, the UK is no measurement for what goes on in Europe for starters! The lifestyle and eating habits of those in UK are almost identical to those in the USA.
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
@swirlie which country would you like to see?
pancakeslam · 41-45, M
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
@pancakeslam Have you ever been to Europe ?
I never eat in Mac Do, that’s American food
Try some real food for once!
