What if the communist party of China had someone inside the United States political system?

What if said person then ran for President? What if that person was pulling the strings behind a President who was nothing more than a puppet? What if the Chinese government, at some point consulted the same terrorists who masterminded 9/11 on how to infiltrate the United States? What if some of the criminals who cross the border are actually agents for a foreign government who wants to bring down America? What if they have already infiltrated the government and have now rigged the media into a propaganda machine and the election process to favor them? Surely the American people aren't stupid enough to allow this to happen right in front of them.
