Please give some thoughts or prayers to Guam...

They are apart of the United States territories.

U.S. President Joe Biden approved an emergency declaration for the CNMI as Typhoon Mawar intensifies and nears the Marianas.

According to The White House, Biden "ordered Federal assistance to supplement Commonwealth and local response efforts due to the emergency conditions resulting from Typhoon Mawar..."

The president authorized the Department of Homeland Security and Federal Emergency Management Agency to facilitate disaster relief efforts across the CNMI. That aid includes public assistance direct federal funding at 75 percent for emergency protective measures.

In a separate statement, CNMI Governor Arnold Palacios said, “The presidential declaration expands the ongoing recovery efforts in response to Typhoon Mawar, including the deployment of additional resources to Rota, which is located in a more direct path of the storm.”

Benigno B. Ruiz of FEMA was appointed to coordinate the recovery efforts.

I experienced a typhoon when I was in Japan, some years ago, and it was horrible. I hope everyone is safe in Guam... 😐

This is neither the first nor the last for them. They will survive this one and more to come.
I really wish the governments did more for shelters and richer countries like USA took the responsibility of supporting their neighbors

@WandererTony I would as well wish more was done.

Yet this is specifically our own territories. After the last fiasco with Puerto Rico, and the Virgin islands, which are as well USA territories, you would think more was specifically done.

They are USA citizens, with USA citizen rights. Including the right to vote. And totally entitled to help without questions! Just like any other USA State.
Prayers for their safety 🙏
