Why do Americans just group all of Europe together

Why do you keep saying 'we're going to Europe' when there's such a big difference between Paris and Dunblane lol

Possibly because of cruises and tours that cover a variety of European countries ? Generally when the plan is to visit a specific country, most people I know will name that country.

@bijouxbroussard ... except when people have never heard of the country you plan to visit. Andorra, for example. Do Americans know that a country named "Andorra" exists in Europe?
