Why do Americans just group all of Europe together

Why do you keep saying 'we're going to Europe' when there's such a big difference between Paris and Dunblane lol

I think they just mean geographically .... I mean you guys are so close together why not just lump it all in.
I for one would love to travel all of Europe. I could go to Greece Britain and France all in 1 or 2 days 😁
