There is differentance between punish ...an abuse....a fine line easily crossed by angry parents who slip over the edge and don't realize it sadly but they over exaggerate about punishment for your kids these days I was paddled and punished when I was younger and it didn't hurt me one damn bit and I'm glad they did because I learned there are consequences for doing things wrong but yet it wasn't to the point where it was extreme
