Absolutely. Much racism that was legal when I was small no longer is, but a number of groups are trying to take us back there by reversing legislation that provided necessary protections against racial discrimination, ironically on the premise that’s it’s "no longer needed”.
But people are still treated differently, legally or not.
Those who maintain that ours is a "post-racist" country, are generally (and unsurprisingly) those who were never traditionally racism’s target, or are wealthy enough now to not be.
