Do you think the united states of america is a racist country?

I want your opinion. I think that it has some racist mechanism with immigrations, law enforcement, and justice system but overall I will say no because you can be whatever it is you want to be in the united states.

Racist as in systemically oppressive? Yes. It was literally built on racism. That doesn't go away just because you end slavery. The idealogies of the people who fought to keep slavery legal did not just fade away. And you need a lot of people supporting these ideas for them to still be such a big part of the American government and for people to get so incredibly offended and feel threatened when these ideas are challenged. I think racism is very normalized in the USA and Canada.

@AmbivalentFriability USA: Such horrible, systemic racism that millions of people of color are risking their lives to get into the USA illegally. At least these illegals know the Democrats are full of s***. https://www.forbes.com/sites/nicholasreimann/2022/09/07/record-number-of-migrants-died-at-southern-border-over-past-year-report-says/?sh=23fe1fdc2c13
