The southern states can be untrustworthy.

(1) Mexicans welcomed for centuries as hard workers asking little pay.
(2) Mexicans re-branded as disease carrying criminals and bused north to fix blame on a Democratic central government: this in a desperate bid to get more bigoted southern hypocrites elected.

I suppose northern states are as pure as the driven snow. Boston fought against integration as hard as any southern state. Indeed, Martin Luther King , Jr. said northern bigotry was more worse than southern as it was more hypocritical and vitriolic.

@knapsdad MLK wasn’t giving the South a pass by saying that. He was there when KKK members bombed the church in Birmingham. And it was southern segregation laws he was trying to get changed and a federal law against lynching implemented. The latter wasn’t passed until this year.
